Anant I. Patel, MD

Dr. Patel received his medical degree in 1989 from the Wake Forest University School of Medicine, Bowman Gray Campus, in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Following completion of an internship in General Surgery at Wake Forest, he completed residency training in Neurosurgery at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, where he served as Chief Resident (1995-1996). Dr. Patel holds Bachelor of Science degrees (Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa) in Chemistry and Biology from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro.
Since 2003, Dr. Patel has been an active member of the neuroscience program at St. David’s Medical Center, serving as Medical Director of Neurosurgery from 2003 to 2004.
Throughout his medical career, Dr. Patel has been actively involved in neuroscience research. He is the recipient of grants from the National Institute of Health and the General Electric Research Foundation. He continues to publish his research works in medical journals.
