
Lotika Reena Misra, MD, is a board certified neurologist who received her medical degree at Christian Medical College, Madras University, in Vellore, India. Post-graduate training included an Internal Medicine internship at Christian Medical College and Hospital in India, followed by an internship and Neurology residency at St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri, as well as a Fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas. During her academic career, Dr. Misra received numerous prestigious awards, and has extensive experience teaching medical students. A renowned speaker, Dr. Misra has presented her works at medical conferences in Texas and California.
Dr. Misra is a practicing neurologist in Austin; prior to relocating to Central Texas, she was a neurologist affiliated with St. John’s Medical Center in Joplin, Missouri. She has a special interest in treating patients with epilepsy, and presented an abstract on “Reversible periictal post-contrast enhancement in a patient with metastatic lung cancer,” at the 2005 American Epilepsy Conference.
