Soe M. Aung, MD

Soe M. Aung, MD, is a Neurologist with multiple board certifications. He is board certified in Clinical Neurophysiology by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology; board certified in Sleep Medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and by the American Board of Sleep Medicine; and he is board certified in Electromyography (EMG) by the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Dr. Aung received his medical degree from the Institute of Medicine #2 in Yangon, Myanmar, where he stayed to complete an internship at Defense Services General Hospital. Dr. Aung completed a residency in Pediatrics at the National Health System Hospitals in the United Kingdom, and then relocated to the United States where he completed an internship in Internal Medicine at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania followed by a residency in Neurology at Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina. Dr. Aung went on to complete fellowship training in Sleep Medicine and Clinical Neurophysiology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in Cleveland, Ohio. Since 2005, Dr. Aung has maintained a private practice in Neurology in Austin, Texas.
